AN ANALYSIS OF STUDENTS’ SPEAKING ANXIETY IN NINTH GRADE STUDENTS OF MTS ILHAM PALEMBANG

چکیده

Speaking is the action of convey information or expressing idea and feelings in spoken English. This research explained about analysis students’ speaking anxiety ninth grade students MTs Ilham Palembang. used qualitative method, The researcher chose class which consists 68 students. In collecting data, observation, interview questionnaire. three major phases data analysis, they were: reduction, display conclusion drawing verification. From found some at as follows: first, that factor felt self-prediction toward fear, irrational faith, over sensitivity threat, anxiety, wrong attribution body signal, low self-efficacy. Second, causes student’ were unconfident to speak English, fear make mistakes when speaking, teacher asked up, shy perform front class.
